Hoops

So Taz is playing basketball at our local Y, on a team for 3 and 4 year olds.  It's fun for him, and hysterical for the adults to watch.  There's one kid on the team who can dribble, and the rest of them just grab and dash with the ball until they reach the hoop (which is guarded by the opposing team in their entirety, tiny hands up in the air to block the net).  Taz is more of a scoring kind of guy, making 5 baskets his first game and three his second.  Not much for defense; he seems to prefer hanging out next to the hoop, rubbing his eyes or picking at his fingers until it's time for the big score.  The Big Guy LOVES watching the kids play and it makes me wish I had signed him up.  *sigh* Practice conflicted with his weekly speech therapy so it wasn't going to work out this time.  Maybe in the spring we can try T-Ball.
Am I up for it?

chick bling

Is this not the perfect item of jewelry for the mom of the threepeeps?  Why has no one purchased this for me? Hmmph.  Guess if I need something done, I'll just have to do it myself :)

January

January finds us back to school for The Big Guy and Taz, and with a little more free time for mom to enjoy with Snow White.
The Big Guy is still going strong 4 days a week at developmental preschool!  Three days a week he participates in an ABA-based extended day program for autism on top of his regular preschool class, so he eats lunch at school and is gone ALL DAY.  I miss him like crazy and pace by the front door at 3:30 eagerly awaiting the arrival of his bus.  He’s made so many gains there, though, and we are so grateful for the wonderful staff that has him all day.  He also started back up with swimming which he loves, although he struggles listening to directions from his instructor.  Also- he and Taz have been playing AWESOME with each other lately!!  I hope this will translate to children other than siblings soon.
Taz also spends 4 days a week delighting the teaching staff at school.  He is in the classroom next door to his big brother, and gets to see him during recess.  Being the social guy he is, he has no shortage of friends and comes home talking about them and eager to share his school projects with us!  Taz recently started basketball at the YMCA in town and loves it!  He’s back swimming (in the same class as The Big Guy) and really enjoys playing catch with the new glove that Santa brought him.  I really want to sign him up for T Ball this spring.  I think he’d have a blast!
Snow White has been wearing the same Snow White dress that Santa brought EVERY DAY thus far in January (yeah, I’m washing it every single night) .  I got her a Princess Tiana dress for her birthday at the end of the month, and I hope it’s as big a hit as the Snow White dress was.  She’s a chatty thing and demands things using full sentences at an age where I only remember getting pointing and grunting from her brothers.  Recently, she’s been spotted sporting a pink tiara around town, so watch out.  She’s a real head turner.

Just a girl, just a blog

So this is it, the Peeps family blog.  We’re just a mom, a dad, and of course – the three peeps!  Their antics are hysterical, until they’re not…and then there’s usually a big mess for mom to clean up
